Camp Flog Gnaw
This assignment focused on selecting an existing event and fully rebranding it from the ground up, with a focus in typography. I chose Camp Flog Gnaw, an annual music festival created by Tyler, the Creator. The goal of the rebrand was to develop a fresh visual identity that better reflects Tyler’s unique and evolving creative style. To do this, I looked to his fashion and lifestyle brand, Golf le Fleur, which is known for its floral themes, pastel color palettes, and playful yet refined aesthetic. I aimed to translate those elements into a cohesive festival brand that still captures the fun, energetic, and youthful spirit of Camp Flog Gnaw.
The rebranding process included reimagining the festival's logo, typography, color scheme, promotional materials, and merchandise. Each design decision was made to strengthen the connection between the festival and Tyler’s wider artistic vision. By incorporating softer visuals and a more curated aesthetic, the rebrand positions Camp Flog Gnaw as not just a music event, but a full creative experience that merges music, fashion, and art. The result is a festival identity that feels more aligned with Tyler’s brand while remaining distinct, memorable, and true to the original spirit of the event.
