K.D Abdul
Perfume Branding
Illustrator, Photoshop
2025

This personal project centers around the branding for K.D Abdul, a homemade perfume brand created by my friend. He envisioned a fragrance line that blends elegance with modernity, and my role was to bring that vision to life through design. Working closely together, we carefully crafted a logo that embodies the brand’s sophisticated yet contemporary energy. Additionally, we collaborated on selecting the perfect color palette to reflect the unique essence of his handmade perfumes.

After finalizing the logo and selecting the color palette, I took the project further by creating a comprehensive brand guide. This guide ensures consistency across all brand materials, with a focus on packaging design. I also make mock ups of both box packaging and bottle labels.

A Letter to My Uterus
8.5x5.5 printed zine, hand bound
Mixed media, Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
2024

This project is based on an assignment where students are asked to create a zine about a visual design narrative that should examine and activate conversations on decolonization in design. I chose to make a poem and collage zine, featuring images of my own uterus from a surgery I had. I combined these with cut out phrases from my favorite book, making my own meaning out of them. The lettering on the covers was creating from wooden children’s stamps. I also hand bound the zine using a Japanese bookbinding technique.

This zine is also featured in Thread, an exhibition curated by Celeste Tooth at the Make Studio Gallery in Baltimore, MD.

I chose to highlight each piercing in pink so that each piece of jewelry can be seen clearly with its designated label.

Juicy Couture Rebrand
Accordion-style Booklet2022

This assignment, students were tasked with creating an eight page accordion style booklet that showcases a brand without using any of the real logos. I chose Juicy Couture and did a mixed media collage which I scanned into photoshop to combine it with my original photography of a model wearing Juicy track pants. My goal was to make to make the brand be immediately recognizable but still have a dynamic and playful look. The physical book was printed and assembled by hand via an accordion style book binding method which included glueing each page together from the back to create a seamless look.
